It’s always a great privilege getting to know you as a couple at this special time in your life.

I look forward to working with you to develop a wedding ceremony that truly reflects your personalities and views.

I will get to know you so that you will have a tailor-made ceremony that is both poignant and special for you and your guests, whatever their personal beliefs.

What happens next

I will arrange a meeting with you both, on the phone or face to face.

I will spend an hour or so discovering as much as possible about your story as a couple and the kind of wedding you have in mind. I’ll listen to your ideas and suggest how to create the perfect ceremony for you.

Once you are happy that I am the right celebrant for you, you pay a third of our agreed fee.

3 to 4 months to go

I will write a first draft of your tailor-made ceremony. This will outline:

  • the order of service
  • suggested readings
  • involvement of guests
  • vows
  • exchange of rings
  • symbolic gestures

You can make as many changes as you like as it’s your big day.

We’ll keep in touch via phone, Skype or email as required.

4 to 6 weeks to go

I will send you a final draft of the script for your approval.

We will finalise the script and hold a rehearsal if you wish.

I can provide props on request, such as certificates, ribbons, blankets and so on. Please ask!

The balance of the fee is due a week in advance of the wedding.

I will arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony to liaise with readers, photographers, videographers, stylists, venue staff and musicians.

I will dress appropriately and in keeping with your colour scheme.

I will be there to calm your nerves and to reassure you.

I will conduct your ceremony with professionalism.

I will provide you with a presentation script as a keepsake.
