Your wedding day should be one of the happiest days of your life. As a Humanist wedding celebrant, it’s my job to help ensure you celebrate your wedding, your way.

A Humanist wedding is perfect for couples looking for a non-religious ceremony. And a Humanist wedding can take place anywhere, from a stately home to a waterfall!

What is Humanism?

Humanists are people who shape their own lives in the here and now. They are people who believe that this life is the only one we have and that we should live life to the full, whilst treating other people with warmth, understanding and respect.

Please note: In Scotland, Northern Ireland and Jersey, Humanist weddings are legally recognised, meaning a celebrant can legally marry you as part of the ceremony.

Currently, Humanist ceremonies do not yet have the same recognition in England and Wales, and so couples will often go to the register office to take care of the legal formalities in the days before or after their Humanist wedding.

To find out more about Humanism, please go to Humanists UK.
